We teach children to think creatively so they may succeed in a complex and ever-changing world. Young children learn through active exploration in an environment which is rich in materials and opportunities to converse, socialize, work, play and negotiate with others. The classrooms are planned to encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving in an atmosphere of warmth, affection and respect for each child. The Building Bridges curriculum is inspired by the Creative Curriculum and incorporates philosophies of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf approaches to learning. Teachers plan experiences based on children’s interests and appropriate educational concepts. Children are actively involved in experiences which include foundations of science, technology, engineering, math, creative arts, language arts, music, movement and dramatic play. In addition to S.T.E.A.M. learning, all interrelated aspects of the child’s growth and development are considered — intellectual, social, emotional, physical and creative.

It is natural for children to test limits and rules. Our staff uses positive management strategies including redirection, anticipation/prevention of problems, positive reinforcement, logical consequences and encouragement rather than competition, comparison or criticism. Most importantly, we recognize that part of this process is providing children with the tools and support they need to express their feelings and needs in acceptable ways. We abstain from corporal punishment or other humiliating or frightening disciplinary techniques.

When possible, we will work as a team with outside professionals to implement an individualized plan that supports the child’s inclusion and success. It may be determined that we do not have adequate expertise or resources for the child’s educational, medical, or other needs, especially in situations where safety is at risk.

Parent Reviews

"I highly recommend Ashbridge to anyone who’s looking for quality care for their child and solid preparation for grade school."
I remember last year when I first moved to the Holly Springs/ Fuquay area. I searched preschool after preschool and no one could accommodate me. I would go to one and then another. I called Ashbrigde Children’s Academy of Fuquay and they helped me right away. They had space for my precious 4 year old. Not only did they have the capacity to accommodate us I loved the curriculum implemented also. The staff is so nice and professional. I highly recommend Ashbridge Children’s Academy of Fuquay to anyone who’s looking for quality care for their child and solid preparation for grade school.
